Brisbane Wedding Photography- Jenny & Shane

I was very excited to catch up with Jenny at the studio to discuss ideas for her wedding day. I met Jenny a few months earlier through the DSLR workshops I run on a Sunday and was impressed by the plans that were underway.
The couple were married at St Matthew’s Chapel in Mitchelton which is a beautiful little chapel overlooking Brisbane. I had been a guest at a wedding there a couple of years back for my cousin Jasmine & now Husband Matt and couldn’t wait to be shooting in there myself.

After a very sweet ceremony we headed out to Dayboro for fun times on a property of a close friend of theirs. The beautiful gardens, the rolling hills, the sunset… everything just came together for a beautiful shoot. I don’t think I was able to take a shot where the couple didn’t have huge smiles on their faces. They just looked genuinely excited to finally be married.
I couldn’t be more excited for Jenny and Shane having been together for many years and just seeing how excited they were seeing their images for the first time makes me so happy.

All the best for a wonderful future!

Beautiful when Pregnant

Hui is a beautiful Mum to be with only a handful of weeks to go. Totally love the look of these images. Congrats to you both & I can’t wait to hear the news!

Traveling to my first wedding in Adelaide was very exciting. Its a wonderful city with so many great buildings, parks and yes the wine! Justin & Toni’s day was very special, they have been together for around 7 years having done the long distance relationship trek between Canberra and Adelaide for a number of years. Seeing tears of joy & excitement begin early during the morning with Toni was very cute and lets not forget Justin’s tears when she so beautifully walked down the isle. After a wonderful ceremony shared with family & friends we headed across to the Gardens for fun with the whole Bridal party. Congratulations on a wonderful wedding & for having all the way day to Adelaide.

Pregnancy Photography Brisbane: Dianna & Stan

Pregnancy is a wonderfully special time in life & I’m so very lucky to photograph its beauty. Dianna & Stan are only weeks away from sharing their joy with the world & they couldnt be more excited. We went with a winter feel for this shoot given the time of year & I just love the maple tree shots. You just may see one of these images in the studio windows in coming weeks…

Wedding Photography: Tracy & Lee @ Bleeding Heart Brisbane

Five days into May 2012 saw two Friends of mine marry @ Bleeding Heart art gallery in Brisbane CBD. I had met the lovely couple for the first time many years ago through my fiance’s Brother and was delighted when they asked to meet with me about photographing their wedding. Bleeding Heart was such a great space for this creative couple to marry often being used as an art gallery. Being in the heart of the CBD made for great location photos post ceremony. Tracy looked so beautiful in her 60′s style dress, you may even say she stopped traffic… Enjoy the gallery below of the wonderful images from a very special wedding, thanks so much for having me as a part of your day. We also created a great time-lapse of the wedding,

Full steam ahead!

Well its been 11 months since the my last blog update and I cant believe just how quickly the time has passed. Things have been great with the business and since having moved into the Auchenflower studio on one of Brisbane’s busiest road’s I have never been so busy. During the past 11 months I began holding camera workshops which has seen more than 600 attendees to the Basic DSLR workshop, and a good number to the advanced Long Exposure workshop. It has been great fun passing on all my knowledge to the even increasing number of people purchasing DSLR cameras.

The weddings I have shot over this time have been beautiful, fun and exciting to say the least. I have had several in Noosa, Brisbane, Good Coast, Byron Bay, Sydney and Adelaide. Over the coming weeks I’ll will be posting images and stories from the great days I spent capturing these special moments.

Keep in contact with me by subscribing to this blog, ‘like’ the facebook page and by joining my twitter.

I will be updating regularly via this blog so stay tuned!

Here’s a favourite!

Little Julian

Little Julian was making sure I gave my all to capturing his wonderful smile on a chilli Saturday morning June. But how can you not smile when looking at these images? If its seeing the peaceful connection between Mum & Bub or a cheeky tongue popping through when Dad tickles your belly. Being ask to photograph a couples most precious gift is very special to me and I love being a part of every shoot.

Anne & Gill

Anne & Gill invited me to join them at there home for an intimate ceremony with there friends and family. The amazing set up they had worked very hard to create would rival many wedding & reception venues around Brisbane. When I met Anne & Gill for the first time I quickly saw just how in love they are & how happy they make each other. It was truly beautiful watching these two exchange vows & start their marriage together, & just look how happy there are in the photos! Congratulations Anne & Gill.

Yesterday was a truly wonderful day. Friends and family gathered to watch two best friends grow even deeper in love with the exchange of some very special vows. Adam & Joni share a very loving relationship with each other and to see the happiness in their eyes and on all the guests faces was very special to be a part of for me as a photographer. The rain clouds held off to leave the newly married couple an amazing day for photos, much to my delight. Have a great trip away you two and I look forward to catching up once your back! Ps Enjoy your preview :)
